Hubby and I wanted to take a little time to enjoy each other before the busy month of November. We decided to visit wine country and drive the Silverado Trail in Napa County. I can not put into words how STUNNING and BEAUTIFUL the area is this time of year. Hopefully you can get a feel for how AMAZING the colors and sites are from my pictures. If you have ever wanted to visit California's wine country I HIGHLY recommend doing so during the Fall. I hope you enjoy my photos, there are many! I took over 300, but won't post them all :) Thanks for looking!

I Heart Fall!
I have a special place in my heart for Whimsie Doodle Digi Stamps. They are the first digi stamps I used when I discovered the world of digi stamps and Copics. I am now addicted to both digi stamps and Copics! I can't imagine a creative life without them!
My favorite time of year is Fall. I love the change in the weather and all the glorious colors that come to life. When I discovered that the October Challenge over at the Whimsie Doodle Blog was Its FALL Y'all I knew I had to participate! Plus they released this adorable image as a freebie!
The image is called "Leaf Me". It is no longer a freebie, but you can find it here
I colored him up with my Copics and cut it out. All three backgroud papers I created myself with some white cardstock that I applied Dylusion Ink Spray (Postbox Red & Pure Sunshine) and Tim Holtz Distress Stain (Wild Honey). This was my first experience with Dylusion Inks and I LOVED them! Im officially hooked! They are so much fun to play with!
I distressed all the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Gathered Twigs & Fired Brick). I applied yellow stickles to the butterfly, leaves on image, and the leaves at the bottom of the card. Hopefully you can see the stickles. It was a hard one to photograph! :)
The burlap layered behind the image is from The Canvas Corp, found at Hobby Lobby. The red burlap ribbon is by The Paper Studio, also found at Hobby Lobby. I stiched the little X's with some brown embroidery string I had stashed away.
I hope you enjoyed this Fall card! Thank you for stopping by!
Gentle Hugs!
Christy
