December Daily 1 & 2

Better late than never, right? lol
I can see how this is going to go this month!
My daughter and I are having a hard time keeping up with our December Dailies, but we are not letting it stop us!
We make little notes and take pictures every day so we do not forget what we did that day.
The weekends will be our "catch up" days :)

Here are pics of Day 1 and Day 2, hope you like them and are having better luck keeping up with your own DD's!
((Hugs))

December Memories

I can't believe it is Sunday night already! This weekend was a fun filled holiday weekend spent with my funny and beautiful 10 year old daughter.
We shopped.
We drank Starbucks hot chocolate.
We decorated the tree.
We ate See's candy.
We danced to Christmas tunes.
We giggled. A lot.
We also started our December Dailies by the fire while listening to Christmas music and the sound of rain and wind.

Pure Perfection.

Here are some pictures of my December Daily Daybook.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. There are many! lol

My cover is an overlay I picked up at a Scrapbook Convention so I'm not sure who makes it. I embellished it with AC Thickers and Glitz & Glitter Stickers. I hand sewed the binding using some red embroidery string I had laying around the house.

The paper used is an assortment of Christmas themed papers by Echo Park, SEI, and Basic Grey.
These are just a few of my favorite pages. There are enough pages to take me all the way to New Year's Eve.

I decided not to embellish or number the pages ahead of time. This will allow me more freedom day to day. You never know if you might need more space for a 2 page spread! The way I take pictures, some days may turn into a 3 page spread! :)

Love Christmas Owls.

When I hand sew my daybooks I always use an envelope to hide the inside stitching. I just unseal an envelope and place it in the center of the book, sew, and then re-glue the envelope! Easy Peasy!

Thanks for looking! I will be back soon to show you my first few days in the book!
Hugs!

December Daily Daybooks with a Stache of Cheer!

When my 10 year old daughter learned that I was going to complete a December Daily this year she immediately decided she wanted to do one with me (she knows how to melt my heart!).

I'm sure this will quickly turn into a new mother-daughter tradition!

This is the daybook I made for her to use as her December Daily. She picked out the papers and I cut, scored, and sewed the binding for her. I didn’t embellish the inside like I normally do on my handmade daybooks because I wanted her to be able to make it her own.

However, I couldn’t resist embellishing the cover for her! lol

The snow speckled overlay I picked up at the Scrapbook Convention so I'm not sure who makes it. I hand sewed the binding using some red embroidery string I had laying around the house.

The mustache is from a punch I found at Hobby Lobby and the washi tape is by Recollections from Michaels. I used AC foam thickers for the year.

This cute circle sentiment is from Whimsie Doodle Digi Stamps. It punches out perfectly with my
1.5 inch circle punch.

My daughter was telling one of her close friends about December Dailies and her friend quickly became excited about the idea. So of course I whipped up a similar book for her to use! lol

Thanks for stopping by! Hopefully I will be back soon to show you my December Daily!
Gentle Hugs!

Beautiful Napa In The Fall

Hubby and I wanted to take a little time to enjoy each other before the busy month of November. We decided to visit wine country and drive the Silverado Trail in Napa County. I can not put into words how STUNNING and BEAUTIFUL the area is this time of year. Hopefully you can get a feel for how AMAZING the colors and sites are from my pictures. If you have ever wanted to visit California's wine country I HIGHLY recommend doing so during the Fall. I hope you enjoy my photos, there are many! I took over 300, but won't post them all :) Thanks for looking!
