Paris Tin

So I recently acquired a Cricut and I'm totally in love with it! This is the first project I completed using the Cricut. The tin is from the dollar spot at Target and I used the Storybook and Destinations Cricut cartridges. I made it for my daughter who someday wants to go to Paris. I am hoping she uses it to hold all her little earrings!

2011, a year for creating for me!

Ok, so here we go. I have never had a blog before, but have always wanted to create one. I never thought I had a reason to create a blog and who would read it anyway? Why now? Well I have decided that 2011 is going to be the year that I get back to being me! This means doing some of the things that I love that remind me of who I am! I am a mother to two fabulous kids, a wife to a wonderful man (my soul mate really), a sister, an auntie, a daughter, a friend, and a CFO in training, but the part of me that has been lost along the way is a creator and a craftswoman. I love to create things, mostly with paper. Putting colors together and stamping, cutting, painting, gluing, tearing, and altering objects is very therapeutic for me and helps me unwind and relax. One of my "lifestyle" changes for 2011 is to make sure I find time to create for me! I am usually content making sure everyone else is happy and taken care of (family, friends, neighbors, and co workers) that sometimes I forget about me. I have come to realize that I can not care for the people around me unless I take care of my well being as well. It’s all about finding the right balance for your life! So my goal is to try and escape to my new craft area at least 3 times a week to create for me and to post my creations here. Even if no one reads this blog! Here's to gleeful and therapeutic creating in 2011!! :)
